The Macaroons are a dynamic 4-piece band from South London, serving up an irresistible mix of Jazz, Blues, Soul, Latin, chanson and everything in between. Fresh from the release of their debut studio album, ‘Days of L’Amore’, the band delivers a captivating collection of original tracks and reimagined covers, showcasing their versatility and passion for music. The Macaroons bring together a wealth of talent and creativity with a distinctive dash of European quirkiness which sets them apart. Whether you're a fan of soulful melodies, bluesy riffs, or jazzy improvisations, the band offers something for everyone and their musical melange will take you from the Streets of New Orleans to the back streets of Paris.
Over the last 3 years, The Macaroons have played all over London and the South. They will be appearing for the first time at The Throwley Yard Cinema for a performance in aid of Sutton Mayor’s Charities. The mayor, Cllr Colin Stears and Madam Deputy Mayor, Cllr Louise Phelan will be there on the night to introduce the event and enjoy the music.
"If you're looking for a band whose repertoire is wider than the Atlantic then the Macaroons are your go-to group. There may be only four of them but they cover a lot of ground, from pop to modern jazz with all the stops in-between […] Any performance will not only broaden your music horizons but provide a Gallic-flavoured and thoroughly entertaining show." - John Clarke (Music reviewer for The Times, The Independent, The i)
